Between 2017-18 the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) investigated the potential market size for the Innovative Toilets, a work initiated by the Gates Foundation, which is estimated at $8 Billion per year. The European market research for eco-friendly toilets starts with the following Market definition: “Eco-Friendly toilets or Eco-Toilets have emerged out as highly innovative and environment friendly alternative to the traditional toilets, because they use either less water or none at all”. It corresponds to Low Flow & Vacuum Assisted Toilets (66.5%), Faucet/Sink Integrated Toilets (20.2%), and Waterless/Bio-composting Toilets (13.3%).” The potential for eco-friendly toilets in Europe was 340.92M USD in 2018 and is predicted to reach 490.68 M€ in 2026, resulting in a growth rate of 4.7%. So what for WeCo: The French eco and portable toilet market is the largest in Europe (89.3M$ euros by 2026). Germany (73M€ by 2026) is the second largest market. Two of our shareholders are German and conducted a market analysis of German-speaking countries: the need for public toilets in these countries is high and increases, especially in the densely populated urban areas in Germany where we are starting our business development operations campaign. The eco-friendly European market report confirmed that Europe shall be our first targeted market for our so-called “ecological toilets”.Considering our French-German team of shareholders, from the beginning we focused on both countries where the potential is the highest. We produce original IP poultry products with a versatile production process and plenty of growth capacity to help the business grow fast. This allows us to build up markets, launch leading products then offer b2b branded, and private label offerings. The company is building both centre-of-plate poultry products and special ingredients, we’re currently working on a fats system, both external and internal, that can add value to our end products. Once achieved, those fats will be stabilized, tested and sold as standalone products themselves with potential to be used in confectionery, soups/broths and other plant-based products if desired. Margins at this stage jump to hundreds of per cent without a precise cost established yet. Company progress so far includes an IP protected protein technology, working partnership in place with Fortune 500 ingredient company, Climate KIC stage 2+3 completed and received 45k equity-free funding 3 products ready for market. The Fats platform MVP has been created, and we were also National Startup Competition winners and received an EU grant of €500k. We've also agreed a Co-manufacturing partnership as well as a top class distributor. The Mighty Kitchen is looking to raise €500k on a convertible note at a €4M cap. Nuw is the app to swap preloved fashion. ‘Spend your money anywhere, spend your clothes on Nuw’. Nuw gamifies the experience of changing your wardrobe using a token system that allows members to trade pieces they no longer want for fashion that is ‘new to you’. The business model is a hybrid of user and B2B rev with early revenue generation. The network is growing fast: +1,839% increase in monthly swaps +91% Average MoM growth over the past 6 months. 80% MoM user retention with users swapping on average 7 items per month (consistent for the past 3 months). Nuw have been backed by Bethnal Green Ventures, Sustainable Ventures, and the London Fashion Fund and are currently raising our seed round. Nuw are raising a €1.7 million seed round with £640k comitted. Revenue Model: Hybrid between user and B2B revenue. Revenue to date: £10k (Mix of User (75%) and B2B revenue (25%)) User revenue: Premium subscription and pay-as-you-go to access features. B2B Revenue: Seed stage - partnerships and in-app sponsored content. Describe the investment opportunity
After several months of production in our pilot farm, we currently master all the processes and sell all of our productions. Consequently, we are planning our scale-up and our next fundraising of 6 M€, in order to go from a pilot farm to an industrial one: our scaled-up farm, Mangrove #1, will allow us to produce 25 tons of shrimps a year, and 50 tons of vegetables, on a surface of 1,5 hectare. This farm should start being operated in 2022 and generate about 1,250 million euros a year. This next fundraising will also be crucial to: - Recruit 10 more employees, one half for the production and R&D and the other for all the support functions - Continue our R&D and improve our process and productivity - Invest in key support elements, such as marketing and IP for instance Our Serie A fundraising will be completed by loans and grants (with one part already secured among famous and recognized public financers).
