9 standout companies join the inaugural Agritech ClimAccelerator Singapore programme

Singapore, 15 July 2025 – The Agritech ClimAccelerator Singapore has unveiled 9 transformative companies selected for its inaugural Asia-Pacific programme – making a bold step forward for climate-resilient innovation in agritech.

These 9 ventures represent a new wave of climate leadership, driving breakthroughs across sustainable materials, digital agriculture, circular economy models, resilient supply chains and carbon innovation. Selected from 6 countries, this inaugural cohort reflects not only the ingenuity of the region but its deep commitment to inclusive innovation: over 65% of applications originated from Australia and Singapore, and 45% included at least one female co-founder.

To qualify, applicants were required to meet Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or higher, with validated prototypes tested in a controlled environment ready for deployment. Eligible ventures also needed to be registered in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam – nations at the forefront of climate and agrifood transformation.

“This inaugural cohort reflects the calibre and commitment of climate founders across the Asia-Pacific region. From novel photobioreactors that radically reduce the cost of algae production to biologically engineered fertilisers that regenerate soil and cut emissions, these companies are not only commercially promising, they are urgently needed,” said Rebecca Sharpe, Director of Better Earth Ventures. “Many are building deeptech solutions grounded in scientific and engineering breakthroughs, with real potential to reshape systems at scale. We’re proud to help catalyse their journey and connect them with the partners, mentors and capital that will accelerate their path to impact.”

2025 cohort:

  • Nick Hazell (Australia): Algenie is developing a patented low-cost high-productivity photobioreactor to make algae production radically cheaper and scalable.
  • Deryl Lu and Ankit Gupta (Indonesia): DayaTani uses technology to provide agronomic expertise and integrated farmer support to improve farmer livelihoods and promote sustainable farming practices for over 3000 farmers today.
  • Shelley Houston and Chris Harper (New Zealand): KiwiLeather Innovations has the ability to upcycle 100,000 tonnes of New Zealand kiwifruit waste into plastic-free, bio-based vegan leather – a luxurious, low-impact material for fashion, automotive, and furniture industries.
  • Antonio Tinto and Raul Abreu (Singapore): LambdAI Space provides scalable climate intelligence using satellite data and physics-guided AI. They help farmers, insurers, agri-finance players, and governments across the world to assess climate risks, reduce losses, and enhance resilience across food systems and landscapes.
  • Abhi Agarwal and Avika Narula (Thailand): Living Roots empowers farmers with high-performance biological fertilisers that increase yields by up to 30%, rebuild soil carbon, and cut synthetic inputs and emissions by 50–100% — driving regenerative agriculture across Southeast Asia.
  • Dr. Jaslyn Lee and Didi Gan (Singapore): N&E Innovations through their patented ViKANG99, transforms food waste into antimicrobial coatings, post-harvest washes, and biodegradable packaging, cutting spoilage, replacing plastics, and extending produce shelf life up to 4x.
  • Jonathan Harvey and Joe Khoo (Singapore): Polar Cold is a climate-tech company using data and energy-saving technology to modernise Southeast Asia’s cold chain.
  • Darryl Lyons and Mic Black (Australia): Rainstick uses electricity to mimic the natural effects of lightning to grow crops bigger, faster and more sustainably.
  • A stealth mode startup (Vietnam) tackling Enhanced Rock Weathering.

All selected companies are pre-seed or beyond, demonstrating early market traction, commercial validation or a clear pathway to scale. Founders will be supported by a community of seasoned partners and mentors who bring targeted guidance on product strategy, market access, and funding. Through curated connections across Asia-Pacific, the programme unlocks pathways to customers, investors, and changemakers ready to help them grow and thrive.
