There is an increasing competition for land between food production and solar power. We are developing highly efficient and translucent photovoltaic modules for agrivoltaics, aiming to combine solar energy and agriculture without trade-offs. Our THEIA solar module enables a dynamic adjustment of light on crops, becoming an agronomic tool to maximise agricultural yield. The solar installation therefore replaces shading screens used to protect crops such as berries – a potential of 300 GWp in Europe.
