Founded in 2010, Impact Hub Vienna is a recognized home for innovators and has served as a launchpad for numerous impact initiatives and enterprises across Europe. Over this decade its community grew to over 1,000 active members, and more than 500 impactful startups were supported in over 40 incubation, acceleration and investment programs together with partners.
Impact Hub Vienna started its incubation activities in 2011, with the launch of the Investment Ready Program (IRP). Functioning as an own-label program, IRP is a program focused on supporting Social Entrepreneurs from Central and Eastern Europe to become investment-ready. To date, Impact Hub Vienna runs 6-8 incubation and acceleration programs per year on various impact topics such as integration of marginalized people into the society, education, health, responsible & sustainable consumption, biodiversity, rural development and many more, together with private corporate partners such as Deloitte, ERSTE Bank, Uniqa, Roche, and/or public partners such as the City of Vienna, the federal climate fund,, the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), GIZ and UNDP.
On a global level, Impact Hub is one of the world’s leading networks for social innovation and is present in over 100 cities and more than 50 countries. The United Nations officially acknowledges Impact Hub for “helping to extend the efforts directed to tackle the SDGs via entrepreneurial solutions.”
